Finally, all systems on the travel trailer are working again! Yesterday, a new electric heating element for the RV refrigerator arrived at the park office. I retrieved it and, with Mary Alice’s help, got it installed. Access to the refrigerator’s innards is through a removable panel on the outside of the trailer. As you might expect, the inner workings are pretty compact and getting big hands into the right places is a bit of challenge. That plus the presence of lots of sharp sheet metal produced a predictable result and I have the wounds to prove it 🙂.

All that aside, the refrigerator seems to be working on 120V AC again! Since we were in Maine, early in the fall, it has only worked on LP gas. Using a small thermometer placed inside the refrigerator, we checked the temperature several times through the night and again this morning. The temperature is staying right where it was while running on gas. I’ll keep a close eye on it for a while, but things are looking promising!
